Post 35 History
AMVETS Post 35 Martinsville & Henry County was Chartered on February 7, 1980. Post 35 is the second oldest surviving post in Virginia.

The original Post location was 2426 Virginia Avenue, Collinsville, which is now the location of the Dollar General Market. After multiple rounds of Bingo games, Post 35 had raised enough money in 1981 to purchase the building located at 2147 Virginia Avenue in Collinsville, its current home.
